It has been over a decade since anything has grown in the fields at Greenstreet Gardens. And the farmer who has lived there since hasn't tried to grow anything since his slaves mysteriously disappeared.
While The Farmer always had a strict attitude and a short temper, it wasn't until after the tragedy that he became really cruel. The Farmer's only son and family, Timothy, died in an accident out on the farm when he was only twelve years old. After that, the Farmer grew delirious about his son, envisioning that Timothy was whispering into his ear and directing his behavior. The farmer grew more isolated from the community and started to take his anger out on the help. He began to follow his dead son's orders. The Farmer was so proud of himself for solving a problem that could of ruined him. He gathered up all of the farm hands who showed signs of weaknesses and sickness. The Farmer claimed he had the cure-all for every ailment called Yellow Iris Nectar, and he gave continuous doses to the field hands who asked for it.
Legend has it, when the Farmer was mixing together these herbs, he also accidently grabbed up a handful of some potent hemlock. The mixture with these herbs and plant can assure that whoever decided to drink Iris Nectar guaranteed themselves death as soon as the spoon hit their lips. Workers who took the tonic became even sicker, and within a couple of days, would drop right where they were working in the fields. The Farmer would just bury the bodies where they fell, in the field, lost forever. To this day, the Farmer still lives on the farm, but even he will not go out at night. At night, you can hear the children's souls calling out for their parents and the screams of the lost. The locals began to hear rumors of the undead walking the farm lands, and the family who lived behind the Farmer is said to have gone crazy. Shadows creep across the land and eyes watch you from all around. Anyone who steps foot onto the farm finds the spirits left on the field are out for revenge, and they will take that fury out on anybody who they come across. Now, Greenstreet invites you to tour the long lost farm. Think you have the nerve to take on the undead? Let us take you on a ride to the outskirts of the property where you can test the legend of The Field of Lost Souls! |
With such a large property, the Farmer had a lot of farm hands and their families living on the land. He would work the hands day and night, no matter the temperature or weather. The Farmer wouldn't let the farm hands stop working and was constantly forcing them to do more work with less sleep and food. Of course, with the help suddenly getting weaker, only the Farmer could help them through it and make all the workers better so they could just keep working. The Farmer didn't have the funds to buy everyone medication from the local pharmacy, so he instead took it on himself to use a family's recipe for a herbal tonic that eventually cures all for the consumer. Those who didn't drink the tonic tried to make runs for the outer hills with their families. It was no use though, because the Farmer would always catch them. As punishment he would take the children and lock them away in a cold basement, and tie up the offender onto the scarecrow posts. One day, in a fit of anger, the Farmer took all of children of the field hands and locked them up in the basement of his farmhouse. During the time of their children's captivity, most of the parents died from the Yellow Iris Nectar or from the constant work. The Farmer had buried all the bodies in the cornfield as they died, just like he did before or in a special place deep in the woods. The children were left to wander the farm, tending to the Farmer's orders, all while searching and calling for their parents. Eventually, all the young passed away as the tonic slowly drained their lives away. |
